Pomona 6405/POM Insulation Piercing Clip Set (Pack of 2)

Beware of the lack of Amazon descriptions! There are two models of these clips, 6405 and 6413. The specs that Amazon should have had on the web page are:• 6405 mates with standard .16” (4mm) banana plug test leads, with or without safety shroud• 6413 mates with standard .080” (2mm) standard pin tip test probeI use the 6413 model at work and love them because the tips of my Fluke meter plugs directly into them. I ordered these from Amazon for a set to use at home thinking they were exactly the same, but they were the model for banana clips. I'll probably keep these and make shrouded jumpers out of old meter leads.

These are expensive but are just what is needed in some circumstances. I was troubleshooting an electric adjusting seat with VERY limited access to the wiring right at the motor to eliminate voltage drop to the motor. These worked great and help me conclude that the problem was the actuator motor and not wiring, circuit breaker or switch leading to the motor.

Awesome product leaves such a small hole in the insulation very hard to see and saves from stabbing you fingers try to poke wires with a test light and FYI don’t buy the cheaper gray set on amazon they from what have heard break a lot

Good probes for the price. They're definitely not as sturdy or a smooth in operation as the comparable Fluke probes, but for nearly half of the price it's acceptable.

Well made and a very good design.

These are the real deal. If you've ever used them you already know. If you haven't and you ever run a communicator from a cabinet or Jbox they are worth the money. You will not regret buying them.

The only convenient-to-use piercing clips I could find. They work great, stay on great, and only leave a very tiny, easily repaired hole in the insulation. That said, I do feel that they are over-priced for what they are but it doesn't appear that there are any other competing solutions.

Brand new out of the package and the black one felt funny. Didnt have enough return spring tension. Dissasembled and the spring is already broken...
