Easy to install
Easy to install as long as your child hasn't lost your T50 torque bit to remove the striker bolt. Lol.. Love it. Have a bad shoulder. The shock lest the tailgate down in a slow managed way. Love it.

I had to send mine back because my new truck came with one?? I have added this excellent product to my last 3 Ford trucks thru 2022. I asked my dealer and was told many of the new Ford trucks now come with this tailgate accessory since 2024. CHECK YOUR TAILGATE BEFORE YOU ORDER - YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE ONE IF YOU PURCHASE A HIGHER LEVEL TRUCK!!

You may need your own tools. Washer is buried in foam packaging little tricky to find
The instructions are absolutely horrible. Found a YouTube video that showed how to install. Tools given was ok. Used my own toolsI had to modify a little. There was no way the nut was going to fit through opening on my tailgate. End results fantastic works great for under twenty five dollars.

After more than a year, it’s solid!
This is a great product. Stops the tailgate from slamming open, super easy install and instructions. After over a year, I’ve had no problems with it, highly recommend!

Glad I Bought this Brand
Heavety dirt material and super easy to install. Needed a few other Torx sizes, but np - I have a set.

Installation not as easy as shown, you will need extra tools than the ones provided with the product
For less than $20 its an Ok product, I wish I could gave it 3.5stars instead of 4, product installation its fairly easy until you have to insert the shock into the stubs, the retaining clips equipped on the shock does not hold it in place, it slips off the stud. Changed to the 2nd set of clips provided seem to be holding ok but replacing the clips on the shock its no easy task, takes some finagling to get them out and in place.
