AMAZING Chip for the money
I'm just now at the point financially to build a second PC for Streaming and Recording gameplay. I went back and forth between many Ryzen CPUs because my budget was a firm $630, but good news was I already have a RTX 2070 laying around since I upgraded to a 2080 Ti. So I finally narrowed it down to this or the 3700x and after watching videos and reading comparisons then it was a no contest. I received my 2700x as expected, not in a retail box or fan but throw a Hyper 212 EVO on it and you just can't beat it for the money. Mainly it just depends on what needs you have. If you're trying to build something for gaming and streaming then I'd go for a 3rd gen Ryzen chip because of the higher IPC and more threads. If you want something for just gaming then IMO go for a I5-9400/9600k or even a I3-9100 can game with the best of GPU's because of the higher single core clock speed. There are so many configurations that are better for YOUR pocketbooks if you sit down and really figure out exactly what you are going to use your PC for and then you can narrow your search for parts down to options that actually make sense.
