The longer shaft and hand length worked perfectly for my 13” diameter outdoor sculpted resin clock. It’s not silent, but don’t believe it’s as loud as some people are stating. This clock is mounted outdoors on my patio so it’s a non-issue. I would say the hands would work fine for a 12-13” clock. You can definitely cut the hands down for a smaller diameter clock.

Me and my gf tore up old flooring and i kept some pieces and decided to make her a unique clock, she was blown away it came out awesome. A couple of the hands did arrive bent but wasnt a big deal i bent them back, install was easy i just had to router the back causebthe wood was thick but piece of cake and item keeps up with accurate time.

The original clock had HUGE hands: an 18" x 18" frame with a 7" minute hand. My wife LOVED.Nine years ago I had replaced its mechanism but had to drill our the center attachment point of the hands to fit the new mechanism. When it too died, she wanted to keep the clock as she had never seen one that large in a house!Since this was the second mechanism replacement for the clock, the hands had already been modified (drilled out) to fit the first replacement 9 years ago.It was easy to form up a glue soaked piece of newspaper, drill a hole in it slightly smaller than the mechanism. I then glued the hands to it and pressed the combination down onto the mechanism.New mechanism has been keeping time reliably for the last two months. Happy wife, happy ... you get the picture!

Contrary to description, this is just a cheap product painted red to make you think it is special. It is not. The metal is flimsy, the plastic is flimsy. The hour hand has to fit tightly in order to work, and you'll have to push on it to make it engage with the plastic stem. But if you push too hard, the metal can bend and/or the plastic can be damaged. So be sure your pieces are completely centered with each other before you apply pressure. Same with the other two hands. Tighten the bolt as tight as you can with pliers. And make sure all three hands are at the 12 hour before you put in the battery. Once this thing gets going, if the hands are not aligned, the time will be wrong. Good luck to all brave souls who trod here to save a buck.

I love how I could repair a clock that had broken. The clock was easy to repair and I followed the instructions on the back of the package. I did use an adjustable monkey wrench to take apart the broken clock. This kit saved me $20-30 because I didn’t need to buy a replacement clock.

The media could not be loaded.  We have tried changing batteries to get this thing to work! It won’t keep time and the second hand just gets stuck even after adjusting it many times. The hands are paper thin and bend so easily that you may be able to see the bends in my video I provided. I am returning it.

I had trouble with a previous clock replacement and tried again with this one. The hands fit the mechanism without trouble and it worked when the battery was installed. I trimmed the hands to the desired length and the entire job was complete in about 15 minutes (I work slowly). My clock is custom made from an old motorcycle air cleaner and it was important to me to restore it.

I bought this to replace a loud mechanism in an existing clock. However, it was even louder than the one being replaced! I returned it for this reason. Unfortunate because I need the 28 mm shaft and have not been able to find one that is silent.

Quick delivery. The shafts length as described, just right to fit through the thick clock face. The hands for the movement where ideal, an excellent replacement for the old hands. All so easy to install and get working. Fit the battery, now accurate working clock once more.
