Q: What picture is used for each of the vowels (a, e, i, o, u)?

As for apple Ee for egg Ii for igloo Oo for octopus Uu for umbrella I’m a retired kindergarten teacher and these are typically the picture/word first associated with short vowels on first introduction to letters and sounds. I introduce both short and long sounds but focus more on short at the beginning of the year. Long vowels, I.e letter names later. Hope this helps. The puzzles are from Learning Resource are thick and well made. I’ve used a lot of their educational supplies over the years. They last a long time.
