Cheap junk
Sounds like $#!+. Sorry but no. I have had 100watt computer speakers that can outperform this junk. Also at high volume you can tell the driver is being abused and can’t handle the wattage.Crossover claims 50hz but it is not probably more like 100hz at best. Only thud bass no real lows can hear vocals in the bass.Returning this junk.

Very good subwoofer for the price
I ordered the 10" Rockville to pair with my Paradigm Atom speakers. The Paradigms are excellent speakers with good definition and clarity, but they can't get below 50 Hz. or so. I bought the 10" sub because I knew that anything smaller would just muddy up the upper bass frequencies. I set the crossover control all the way down at 50 Hz. and set the volume to about 1/3 - 1/2. I was very pleasantly surprised at the performance, especially at low volumes. It's nice having that last octave and a half back after using these Paradigms for about 2 months.I've read some bad reviews here for this speaker. I've also seen pictures here of a speaker completely blown out of the cabinet and I can't help wondering what these people have left for hearing! I wonder if these are the people that drive down the street in Jeeps with 5000 watt subwoofer setups shaking everyone's dinner plates within 6 blocks. If so, that would explain why they can't hear.If you have reasonable hearing and have a clue what to do with a subwoofer, this is an inexpensive addition to any small speaker setup that needs a little help on the bottom end. It comes with low-level AND high-level inputs/outputs so you can hook it up to most systems with no additional parts needed. I hooked mine up using the high-level inputs/outputs and had it set up in minutes and playing some demanding tunes. The reason I subtracted a star is because of the crossover control. It doesn't really behave like a true crossover control in that it's more of a shelf control. It seems to only affect the frequencies passed to the subwoofer and not the frequencies passed to the main speakers. If you turn up the frequency too high, the bass starts getting real muddy with the main speakers covering much of the same frequencies as the subwoofer. It's not a deal breaker in my case because I have it turned as low as it can go, but may be of interest to others. I have not checked the behavior on the low-level inputs/outputs so I don't know about them. The construction seems solid and it works well with it's auto-off function turning the speaker off after several minutes without signal. It removes the need to pull out the speaker to reach behind it and turn it off when not using it.I've only had it a few days so if I have any problems with it I'll edit my review, but for right now it's 2 thumbs up.

Read the reviews, they are accurate
When used correctly this sub is not bad. It shakes the walls when helicopters fly over it makes you jump when large caliber bullets are fired, and it sounds OK for music depending on what you’re listening to. It does have a little problem getting down to 20 Hz or lower but how often do we really go that low?The box was a little cheaply made, I did have to put a little lot of silicone in the clips that hold the front cover on to keep it from leaking air, but overall for the price you’re not gonna find this much bang for your buck. Make sure it’s tuned correctly, don’t try to overpower and don’t try to make it do more than it’s supposed to, I fill like it will blow if you do, but for the money I’m extremely happy with the product that I received!! 20 years ago I would have blown this thing up in 10 minutes. I would say it’s more for mature, audio, enthusiast people looking for a good quality home theater sound and not trying to get the cops called. Not for apartment usage!!!

Great sub for the money!
Nice, simple sub for the money. I spend a lot of time in my garage so decided to add this to my Aperion Audio powered speakers. Sounds great together and provides a lot more bass punch.
