Hanvex 1.3mm X 3.5mm DC plug extension cable allows flexible option for setting up electronic device where wall outlet is out of reach. Comes with female jack at one and a male plug on the other to extend the reach of DC power supply. This unit only accepts 1.3mm x 3.5mm barrel plug from power adapter and will not work with other sizes. NOTE - Two common issue experienced when buying a DC power extension cable. 1. Wrong Plug Size - This is the most common problem. Please check your device by measuring the barrel plug of the power adapter. This will only accept 1.3mm (inside diameter) x 3.5mm (outside diameter) plugs. 1.3mm x 3.5mm plugs are commonly used for small digital device such as wireless IP camera. However, not all wireless IP camera uses 1.3mm x 3.5mm plugs. Please check the plugs size before purchase. 2. Lack of Power - The longer the cable, the more resistance and power loss, and hence requires more power from power supply. At 25ft length, the power loss is noticeable. Please make sure you have adequate power supply to use this extension cable NOTE*** Manufacturer do change their plug size for their models from time to time. The surest way to know if this cable is compatible or not is to measure the plug size of the power adapter that this cable is intended for by measuring the inner diameter and outer diameter of the plug of the power adapter.***Disclaimer*** - This unit uses UL component (UL2464 cable) to ensure high quality product. Works with Uniden UDR744
I purchased the Hanvex HDCA25 25 foot 1.3mm x 3.5mm DC Power Adapter Extension Cable, 20AWG, UL2468 for my Uniden UDR744 video surveillance system that uses UDRC24 cameras. I have been testing it for a few hours and it is working just fine. The adapters at each end of the extension cable fit well with the power supply cord and camera cord. However, there appears to be a very small gap between the extension cable and the power cord adapter. When I make the permanent installation of the camera I will use electrical tape to wrap the connections at each end of the extension cable. This should make the installation water tight. The connections will not be exposed directly to the weather but here in Florida we have a lot of humidity so sealing the connections is important to prevent corrosion.

It worked brilliantly. It appears to be well constructed
I used this to connect a Foscam camera that was -- you guessed it -- 25 feet away from the nearest power source. It worked brilliantly. It appears to be well constructed, and the 1.3mm side fits very snugly. It doesn't pop out under its own weight.

Good power supply extension cord. Maybe a little thin (20AWG) but good enough for the Foscam.
