Nice basic bin. Good price. Lid is a little flimsy.

Does what it says on the tin. Not anything special and material is recycled, but feels flimsy and sometimes the lid does fall off. No major issues!

I bought it to put my dirty laundry in but the lid stopped working after 3 days . It’s quite plasticy but ok for what I’m using it for. Wouldn’t last long if you were using it every day as a peddle bin

Keen to buy a bin that had a peddle and more importantly, was eco-friendly. This looked a perfect fit and in most ways, it is. Nice size for a small kitchen, nice shape and made with recycled plastics. Sadly though, it is not very robust. When you press the pedal, it feels like it might break and because the whole bin is thin material, the lid isn't heavy enough to seal itself when shut. It rests closed but not sealed, therefore aromas from the waste dissipate around the kitchen.Adequate, but not as good as I expected for the price.REVISION - After ten weeks the flimsy nature of the plastic has meant the hinge has snapped and now the bin lid won't open properly. Unacceptably poor quality. Regret this purchase completely!

I like that the pedal was working fine and it was easy to assemble

I purchased this Addis 40l pedal bin to replace a previous bin of the "press on the bin lid to open" type and I have to say that while its a no frills design, it certainly does what it is needed for and the square design also fits in the corner of my kitchen so it works really well. The fact that its a squat rather than taller design also means it'll fit under a low bench/shelf without much trouble.My only gripe about it is that you don't get some kind of binbag holding ring as you do with other bins I have used in the past so there is nothing really stopping the bin bag sliding down once the lid is open? A bit strange I thought but using 45l bin bags seems to solve the issue. This is the only reason why I've given it a 4 rather than 5 star overall rating.All in all, I'd certainly be happy to purchase one of these again.
