Bought this book for a history loving duo in my family, but had a read first. What a fantastic book! So well written, easy style to read and 4 levels of questions so even younger readers can enjoy this. Really useful tool to add to teaching aids for history of Great Britain. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Bought this as a gift and like it so much bought another one for myself. Really keeping me occupied during these winter days, and learning as I go.

The Ordinance Survey Journey Through Time.This is described in terms which sound appealing: "Do you have what it takes to solve the most perplexing puzzles?" reads the blurb.However, the puzzles in question are largely concerned with being able to read an ordinance survay map, and repetitive to the point of boredom.I bought this as a Christmas gift for an intelligent friend with a love of history; now I've looked at it, I'd be embarrassed to give it, for fear of the unspoken message it would send. I'm sure there's a target demographic for this book, but the person I bought it for doesn't wear an anorak.

I love the concept of this book. It is an interesting way of familiarising yourself with OS maps and different areas and learning about the history associated with them. I enjoyed this, however some of the clues do not read clearly and some of them have missing elements such as Map 13 Challenging clue 8, missing is part of the clue where you count the letters of the longest name on the map. I have found other inconsistencies and mistakes too so I urge the publisher to give it some proper editing and send it for reprint!
