I love the look and feel of wooden cutting boards, but was afraid of the upkeep and ruining a more expensive board. This cutting board is sturdy, not too heavy, and simple to clean and maintain (more effort than a glass or plastic cutting board, but very manageable).The cutting surface and juice grooves are great, the backside of my cutting board has an area that's slightly rough, but nothing a little sanding won't fix.I recommend this cutting board if you need a new medium board or if you are getting started with wooden cutting boards for the first time. I intend to buy a larger board from this brand in the future.

The other reviews are right this board is so poorly made. It’s barely sanded and I have had for THREE WEEKS and it’s cracking down the middle. Absolute trash. Here’s what you should do (and I should’ve done) instead: Look on facebook marketplace and find someone who makes cutting boards in your town or county. Buy one and if it CRACKS DOWN THE MIDDLE in three weeks you can find them and their mom if necessary and get your money back. Repeat until you have a beautiful perfect non-slave handmade cutting board you can have for the rest of your life. This is my plan. Don’t do what I did and buy this board. You will regret!!

I have owned an embarrassingly large number of cutting boards, and this one is perfection. It's not too heavy to lift, and teak is the gold standard for cutting boards because it's soft to cut on. Very very nice product! Also love the juice groove as it helps to minimize messes.

Love this board. I’ve seen it in TJ Maxx for half the price, same brand too. But I like it anyway

Warped after a few months of usage. Was always properly sealed and waxed. I have 2 of these, both warped and one split down the center. Poor glue joints

It will probably take some time and many oilings for this board to get fully seasoned. Was expecting a smoother finish.

I got this as a lighter alternative to the butcher block I have. The color and pattern is very pretty, but it was very rough to the touch when I first opened it. During my first wash, I would’ve gotten tons of splinters if I wasn’t being cautious. I was pretty disappointed by the poor craftsmanship, since I purchased this brand because of America’s Test Kitchen’s rave review on its butcher block. I ended up sanding the board down myself with a fine grit, and it’s all good now. I didn’t want to deal with returning it and finding a new decent board.
