Did I need another version of Love Letter? No. Do I have any regrets buying this? Also no.(Was I also possibly motivated by spite after seeing another review call it "grooming"? Absolutely. Especially because my gay ace self just sees a cute forehead press on the box cover. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)As for the actual cards though, I really like them! Card abilities follow the Z-Man version I have for the most part, but I do like the extra token you can get depending on how the princess cards are played. Also, quick reference has a card listing on one side and game rules on the other - very nifty for when you break out the game later in the night when players are tired and/or less than sober.Only thing I'd love to change would be to cut down on the box size, but I'll probably just swap it with the drawstring bag from my other version when traveling to game nights.

I got it to play with my cousins after learning it with friends. They LOVE it! This game is suitable for any age as long as they can read, it’s really fun and simple! I recommend! Also, sapphic details always add lol

I absolutely love that there is a lesbian couple in this game. I love the art too. But, is a little difficult to understand how to play it. I feel like the instructions can be better, more clear. There are a couple escenarios that you don't know what to do because instructions are not clear. Also, the lesbians are just in the art, they are not really a part of the game which is disappointing. I was expecting some kind of insertion of the lesbianism into the game but is like any other heterosexual game. Nothing special about it. I do like that many people can play it. Is kind of fast and kind of easy to play.

Love Letter is a great game, if relatively simple compared to your standard modern hobbyist board game. Some games need to be light, for when you just want to chill, and Love Letter excels at this.This version uses a theme from a lovely picture book about two princesses falling in love in a fantasy setting. It's a pleasant read, and retheming this game with it is an excellent choice, as it subverts the traditional story of men "winning the hand of a princess", and shows that girls can love girls, and that's wonderful. I'd highly recommend this game for children and adults, and especially those who don't want anything complicated, and/or would love to see some lesbian representation in board games. 10/10.

Played this recently on a trip. Very easy to pack up for travel and could even whip it out easily at the airport. Seems like it would be a cute gift or stocking stuffer. Very straight forward and easy to learn rules.As for the reviewer who called it a "grooming" game... I wouldn't take advice from someone who can't be bothered to read that this wasn't made by zman games or that the artwork very clearly isn't two French kissing women lol. Game is great.
