The OrdinaryNiacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, Smoothing Serum for Blemish-Prone Skin

I've been using The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum for several weeks now, and the results have been impressive. My skin texture has improved noticeably, with a reduction in the appearance of pores and fewer breakouts. I love this product. I've used it for years and it always makes my skin look and feel great. When I told my dermatologist I used it as part of my skincare routine, she was so happy as she loves The Ordinary too. I usually buy it at Ulta, but I really didn’t feel like going into the store, trying to find it in whatever aisle they moved it to, and waiting in their super long line. This came super fast and it's the exact same product as the store for the same low cost.

I bought this for my mom, in an effort to help her take better care of her skin especially since she's getting older...And she's the type to simply wash her face with a soap bar and body wash and that's it. Since she's new to this I just wanted a nice serum to incorporate in her routine and out of all the products, she said this is her favourite! Her skin is also visibly brighter and it does the job that more expensive products don't. She said her skin feels more hydrated too so I definitely think it's more than worth the price. She uses it two times a day with sunscreen in the morning

I keep coming back to this niacinamide product.Ive tried others, some with a higher percentage and they dont do anything. This one by ordinary is the only one I've found that gives that glowy youthful skin.Its a bit sticky even after drying, I usually apply a thick moisturizer on after this and that helps a lot. I apply this at night and I pat it on (method I feel works the best for application)My face is smooth and plump looking the next morning with a nice healthy youthful glow. It doesnt do much for hydration but it does keep my skin acne free and even in tone (along with some other products)I dont use this by itself its just one product of a few in my routine but for me its the best niacinamide product out there. I feel its the cleanest version free of fillers that may lessen its effects. Its just a simple form and I love that about the ordinary products. Its just simple.A bottle lasts me a little over a month, I apply approx half a dropper worth onto my face and neck nightly.

[Update: Apparently that means it’s working. And I’m completely ignorant to the whole subject lol]I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I always wash my face then wait for it to dry THEN put it on. It doesn’t cause me to breakout, or cause any actual pimples. But it clogs my pores. I like that it makes my skin look healthy, and I want to keep going for the long term benefits. But I feel like I’m sort of stuck in a bad cycle here lol

This is my favourite serum. I’ve been using it for the past three years. A 30ml bottle usually lasts me about 2–3 months. It has no fragrance and feels very lightweight, almost like water. Once applied, it absorbs quickly with no stickiness or film, and feels really pleasant on the skin.When I don’t use it for a while, I start to notice that my skin’s tone and texture aren’t as smooth or even. I don’t see dramatic changes when I use it regularly, but I think that’s because I’ve gotten used to how my skin looks with it, and I really notice the difference when I stop.I also love the bottle; it doesn’t leak, which is super important for me since I often take it with me when I travel.

I absolutely love this product, I would definitely recommend using a moisturizer along with it (either the ordinary moisturizer or Ponds works great along with it). For its price I was surprised at how well it was. It took away the greasiness and made my face have a glow! It has made my skin so soft and my acne has gone away as well.
