Excellent booklet, worth every penny. Good map and photographs of arctic children, adults and wildlife. All arctic life in a nutshell. Perfect for children aged 6-8 years, although I have bought it for my grandchildren aged 3 and 6 years who it will be read to until they can both read properly themselves. Bought it to accompany cardboard igloo bought as part of Xmas presents from Hobbycraft.

Perfect for exploring different communities. my class were fascinated by how the children lived. Recommend for RRS work in primary.

i was disappointed in this book. It is very light weight and flimsy. However the illustrations and text are good. Doesn't compare to the usbourne information books.

Used for a topic in school. Was not really very helpful or useful for children.

My daughter is 4 and has been interested in the way people live in other countries. She cannot read, but I just read this to her like I would any other book. The pictures and story are captivating to her - she requests this book often. It has enough text to clearly explain the lifestyle, but not so much detail that a young child gets lost or loses interest. I'm looking forward to getting more rookie read-about books!

I bought this for my second grader because she had an arctic habitat project that she had write about. It was super easy for her to read, it is probably aimed at kindergarten/1st grade level. The photos are great! I like the fact that this book has real photos and not drawings like another book we purchased for the project.
