Basically, this is just a piece of bent plastic that deflects the cuttings back into the grass. It is robust, looks the part. It fits well and it does the job. The cuttings are directed back into the ground cleanly, with very little unwanted scatter.A bit pricey but no more that expected for any manufacturers "extras".

This effectively replaces the basket on your mower, trapping the clippings internally to allow the blades to cut them finer, before spitting it out on to the lawn.It did not come with any fitting instructions and had to guess and then look at a video on YouTube to make sure I had it fitted correctly.The efficacy does depend on many things i.e the length of grass to be cut, the height setting on the mower, whether it's wet or dry etc, and I have had mixed results, sometimes getting large clumps of clippings.But overall, as a quick solution, other than buying a professional mulcher mower, this is a good alternative.

Use this on my Bosch lawn mower 2 or 3 times a year. Works as it should, diverting the grass clippings down back on to the lawn and not all over your legs and feet.

Not really any better than just leaving the grass box off in terms of mulching, but at least it stops the grass from flying out the back and landing on and in your boots. Rather overpriced for a bit of moulded plastic.

Never took mulching seriously until the lock down period and the lack of grass collections, I knew there were benefits to letting the nutrients remain but I just saw it as an added cost initially.Having purchased and used it only once so far I am amazed how fine the grass was cut during the mulching process. I left the grass uncut for 3 weeks for overseeding and so I would estimate emptying the mower bag approximately 4 times. For the mulch cut i would estimate the amount visibly left on the lawn to be a plastic carrier worth, so a huge difference and you can barely tell there are cuttings left. Huge plus and saves the hassle of keep emptying the mower bag.

With the mixed reviews, I was a bit sceptical about this, but I gave it a try anyway.Like other reviews, I must say it's expensive for a single piece of plastic. Though to be fair, it's the width of the lawnmower and covers the grass outlet.So this replaces the grass box and turns it into a mulching mower. I have a 430LI and it really does work.Some people say why not just run without the grass box? - well I tried that and the spring cover isn't strong enough to prevent stones pinging out of the machine and grass still came out of the back, whereas with this shaped piece of plastic it is. This also diverts the cut grass downwards.So in summary, yes it's very expensive for what you get, however it does work, and will saves me having to fill a green bin with grass this summer - and save me having to use as much lawn feed. Would I recommend it yes - even though I paid over £28 for it!Update 23 July. Just note that this doesn't work very well if the grass is wet or very long! Best used when lawn is dry... Tends to clog up otherwise...

Well, I have just fitted this to my 43li Rotak Mower. It is snowing here, today, so it won't be getting a trial run! But, I have to say the design and engineering on this is fantastic, when you see how will it fits into place. Also when you study how it works I can immediately see the benefits.Will be fantastic in helping to keep the lawn lush in between feeds.So if you are wondering if this is a good purchase, I'd say buy with confidence - can't wait for the spring!

It fitted well but i spent more time collect lumps of grass that built up sticking to the plastic mulcher because of the shape of it. I have since made my own mulcher out of a plastic lid from a tub of miracle gro that clips in the lips under the flap of the mower and it sits there perfect and no more grass clumping to the plastic. Works perfect and alot cheaper.
