Q: can I spray it right in the face?

I wouldn't recommend that. You wouldn't want to get it in your eyes. It works best if you spray in your hand first and apply to face. Not an aerosol spray, but rather a pump spray. Was happy with product on facial skin.

Q: How long does a bottle last? My experience with spray sunscreens is that they don't last very long.

I purchased three bottles for my daughter and they lasted the whole summer. However, she is only 5 and therefore less surface to cover. I hope this helps!

Q: What is the difference between this and the "Aero" version? Which one do you like better

Aero is an aerosol spray - it's finer. I like the aero for a touch up - it's quick and easy, but I feel like this pump version is better coverage. It's more environmentally friendly too; non-aerosol and refillable. Both are fantastic - the only sunscreen I use on my little one's sensitive, super fair skin.
