I LOVE this guitar.

I tried out some sub-hundred dollar Telecaster copies, Glarry and a few other knockoffs, but I have some history with Fender, having purchased a 1966 Fender Mustang in the mid-70's as my first "real" guitar as a kid, so I eventually decided to fork out the extra hundred bucks and change for the Fender quality and name. Boy, did I ever make the right decision. This guitar is awesome. It was well packed and set up perfectly right out of the box. I own a 1999 Mexican made Stratocaster and a 2024 Fender Sonic Stratocaster as well, but I wanted a Telecaster for its signature Tele twang and bite. This beautiful butterscotch Telecaster with blonde maple fingerboard delivers in spade. It feels terrific and it plays exquisitely. Great job, Fender.UPDATE: I was offered the Glarry GTL tele replica for $50 by an EBay seller and I couldn't resist. I bought that one, too. It's a surprisingly great guitar. The finish is beautiful, just like the Fender and the maple neck is as straight as can be, though a bit thick. It sounds awesome and plays beautifully. I was going to replace the bridge pickup until I opened up the Fender and saw that both guitars have the same ceramic pickup. I replaced the old style tele bridge with a $10 modern telecaster bridge, so I can tune each saddle individually and I did order a telecaster replacement neck for $35. I now have an exact twin for my Fender Sonic Tele, with one exception: the Glarry body is made of Basswood, which is a lot lighter than the Maple/Poplar body on the Fender, so, even though they look the same, the Glarry is quite a bit lighter. I've ended up spending under $100 total for the Glarry, plus parts, to get the guitar that I wanted, but I had to expend quite a bit of time to get there. I easily did over $100 worth of work on it, so I still have NO regrets about buying the Fender Sonic for $199 as it was great right out of the box. If I ever purchase another telecaster, it will be a Fender.

The Squire Tele is well made.

I bought the Strat also and had to do the same with fret sprout on the Tele. It’s great now.Although the Tele is quiet (no hum) I still will copper line the cavities. For the price it’s great. I’m thinking the use of Poplar and thinner size works quite well as its sustain is great.I’m still learning but I took the opportunity to buy both offered by Amazon.I love it/them.

Fender Tele worth it?

It arrived within 3 days, in a very dusty box. I was concerned. The old box was difficult to open, but then; it’s a beautiful guitar! I checked the neck and no problems! Tuning keys so far, aren’t holding a tune over night like my Strat that stays in tune with locking keys, of course, it could be the Fender strings: cheapie. How does it sound? Great! I’ll have to buff the frets as they are too high and a bit tacky, but very little. They made a good guitar for under $200.00. I’ll make it a great guitar!! Well worth the money for beginners of pickers! JGL

Incredible

Guitars incredible for the money and I think just in general. I am a professional full-time guitarist and for some reason I like these cheaper squire Sonic and classic vibe guitars more than expensive American guitars. I'm sure the Americans have fancier finish and look prettier and whatnot, but I don't care about that stuff. I also like these cheaper guitars because they are much lighter in weight, which I prefer. I was very surprised about how good the pickup sound. Also, I have bought other squire sonics I liked them very much but they did need a little help with the fret ends being sharp. For some reason this one was just about perfect out of the box.

As good as my old Fender Telecasters.

Plays great, after tuning, looks beautiful. I will add more after I use it on a gig. Of my 5 telecaster copies, this is one of the best. Maybe because it is a Squire by Fender or that it is a special version of a Squire by Fender Telecaster, but it is as good as the 70's and 80's brand new Telecasters that I bought off the walls of music stores when I was a traveling musician. According to Amazon, this was the last red one they had, but I bet they are all good no matter what color they are painted. So far, so good.

I like it a lot!

Plays nice, looks nice. Very affordable! I love the Torino red color and I’m glad that they took extra care when packaging it up for shipping. Bubble wrap, styrofoam and a sturdy box.

Twangs a lot

This is an inexpensive model that fits well into learning to play electric guitar and provides a lower cost opportunity to add and test 3rd party attachments. So far it has sounded pretty good with an "old folks garage band".
