Q: Is this suitable to extend the cable length of a 2000w mini hob as its own cable length is approx 6" too short to reach the mains socket

The extension lead is rated at 13A so for a restive load like an electric heater or mini hob at 230V the maximum load it should be able to supply is 2990W.

No, it is a moulded on plug. You would have to cut the plug off and fit a new rewardable plug if you want to install the flexible cord through a hole.

Q: Will this be safe for a combination microwave using 1000 watts?

I would say so. I use mine to connect a combination microwave to the wall plug. It’s just extending the flex when it’s not long enough to fit directly into the wall plug.
