Amazing, brilliant blue black color that has a good shine. It doesn’t smell strange and really felt good on my hair. I have super thin, fine hair and I didn’t use the whole bottle, but it covered wonderfully and the color held well. It didn’t wash out, it more faded after a long time and it faded into a blackish color. The only con was that it struggled to cover my few super stubborn greys, but they are super, super stubborn.

I've used this dye all of three times now, and it is the best I've used! It comes out shiny, silky, and *dark black*.It does bleed quite a bit for the first four to five washes if you use the full bottle (at least mine did, but my hair is shoulder length so it may have been more than I needed)The dye doesn't smell bad, it didn't damage my hair, didn't leave it feeling wirey, didn't leave it dry.I've just finished using a dye remover on it before writing this review, and it stayed in my hair even after that, so it's a very strong dye that definitely lives up to the permanent name.100% would recommend if you want a shiny, long-lasting, almost like natural black hair dye!

I really liked this hair color kit. It covered my grays very well and left my hair feeling soft and shiny. The color looks natural, and I love that it’s ammonia-free—there’s no strong smell like other dyes. It was easy to apply and didn’t make my scalp itch. Definitely a great option for coloring at home!

Terrible product. The dye completely washed off after a couple of weeks no matter how much I took care of it not to mention I only wash my hair once a week

I really like the color that I got from this. It hasn't faded out alot. What has faded out blends very well with the rest of my hair so it kind of looks like highlights. I will purchase this again and I usually go to Sally's and do my hair that way. It's the first box color I have used in years

I like the way it leaves my hair soft and shiny. No strong smell. It covers grey hair relatively well, but fades in a few weeks.

I'm currently in Florida and not in Chicago where my regular hairdresser is, and occasionally, I do get the urge to color my hair at home. I have to start by saying that I don't regret purchasing this or using it on my hair, but most likely won't be buying it again in the future. For an at-home color, it is pretty decent and does give your hair a nice shine. The value for the money is not great if you have anything longer than chin-length hair, especially if you have a lot of hair. I have hair slightly past my shoulders, so not super long by any means, but I did need two boxes. I should also point out that I do have very color-resistant gray hair. I left this color on my roots for almost 50 minutes, and I did not get good coverage on my gray hair at all. The color touched all of the gray roots and did leave a light to medium brunette shade, however, the rest of my hair is dark brown, as was the color I selected. So, sadly, this was a huge failure for root coverage. I can live with this for a couple of weeks, but I will eventually need to bite the bullet and go and get my roots touched up by a professional.Why am I still giving this product 3 stars, you ask? It's because I believe that if you're not trying to cover gray hair or if you don't have color-resistant grays, like me, this could work out well. Keep in mind that you will probably need two boxes, unless you have short hair, in which case, one box should do the trick. Also, I saw a couple of reviews where the reviewer was expecting to go lighter - these types of at-home hair colors will not lighten your hair so please keep that in mind. Most of us veteran color users know this already. LOL.

Great coverage, easy application and leaves you with soft and manageable hair. Very happy with the results. Time will tell how long the color holds but I have high hopes. 10/10 will buy again!
