I haven't used the elastic laces. They seem fine though.The fastenings are easy to set up and use. Fiddly, but easy. I've been able to set mine up in a way that still gives adjustable length by folding the lace over at one end and putting the fold into the fixing then tucking the excess lace into my shoe. The size of the fixing area seems slightly different on either side of the ones I've used. Both hold a single lace, but only one side seems to be able to manage a folded over lace. That's fine cos I only need to do that on one side to make them adjustable.After a little test run they seem to stay fastened well and they are a lot more quick and convenient than tying the laces. They also have a pretty nice clean look which is cool. And if they did come undone at least I wouldn't be tripping on the laces. I've been able to use them one handed. Again a little fiddly, but definitely possible. The magnets lock onto each other well and do most of the work for you, you just need to make sure they are lined up well.I find they give enough room when undone for me to get my foot in and out of my shoes even without elastic laces. Which is good cos it means I can use those fun laces. I'm sure that will depend a lot on the shoe.It doesn't seem like the fastenings are going to fall off easily, but they are easy to remove if you want to. With how I have mine set up that means they're also easy to adjust.They should be easy for kids to use if they're at the stage of putting on their own shoes. I'm sure they would be a lot easier for parents too. And they should be obvious enough for teachers etc to work out if kids need help.All in all they're great. I will be buying more from another listing with just the fastenings because I really don't need all that elastic.I much prefer them to the twist capsule type fastenings. And they are nicer and cleaner than the pull cord type, especially since they don't leave dangling laces.

These are so good for kids with ASD who have problems with doing own shoes laces. My son was so happy knowing he wont feel stressed or embarrassed because he struggles to tie his laces up. Would highly recommend these to anyone with ASD child or Adult

They don't lock together so how can they stay fastened

Thought I’d try the magnetic version as the connection looks better - was detaching often though as I had wanted to tighten the shoes - meant the elastic was too stretched for comfort and as such the connectors kept reopening which was a shame. Most like my user error though as I prefer tighter fit.

My son is disabled are these are very good, the clip is not amazing, but they look good and he doesn't have to tie his shoes.
