This product is Amazing

This item is truly awesome. It does attracts ants that you never imagined you had in your household. I have used this product in Puerto Rico and now in Florida. It really wipes out the ants for good. The speed that it takes to get rid of the ants is not even that long. There isn't much to clean except for the dead ants. Be aware that there is no smell relating to this product. Whoever invented this item is a Genius. The effectiveness of this product is worth every cent. I am not sure about pet safety since I don't own pets.

Swarmed!

Works, great!! Ants all go nuts for the bait!!I poured some out to help the ants find it and they are all over the drop i spread on the concrete. These traps are nice however I’d like a thicker foam backing for the adhesive strip to help in sticking to uneven surfaces better. I’ll be buying the bottle of this same bait to refill these traps once they empty!!

Ox, the Oversized Beagle Pup, Says It's Delish, but the Indigestion is Wicked Bad Later On.

Every summer we deal with ants, but this year's have been off the charts! They're everywhere, these tiny sugar ants. They spring up in the kitchen, and then they're swarming out of the baseboards near the front door, and next thing I know they're upstairs, in the bathroom! The heck?In previous years, I've been able to ward them off naturally by mixing a homemade thing I got off the internet and while it's messy, it's worked for me. This year I had to go deeper. Peppermint spray worked until it dried, so I could spray the kitchen, then make breakfast in peace, but come dinnertime, they were back! Same with lemon essential oil. Finally in a fit of irritation, I ordered some spray that is supposed to be safe indoors, and it is effective where I have used it...but I can't spray that stuff in the food prep areas of the kitchen! So I came back to Amazon--again--and entered "pet safe ant killer for kitchen." Up popped these little traps. Hey, that isn't messy, and it keeps the chemicals away from the food. Good deal. So I bought some. And although I have NOT seen the stream of ants that the packaging suggested, eagerly diving into the poison so they could take its delicious toxins back to the colony, I have seen fewer ants. Every time I think I have it solved, it turns out there's yet another colony; this time it's the living room baseboards. So I went ahead and stuck one of these things on a baseboard. I'd tried putting it up high on the window, out of reach of our dog, but the ants didn't seem to want it bad enough to climb up there and get it, so I stuck it down lower. Here's the thing. If your dog is a small critter with tiny jaws, or if you have one or more cats, you're probably okay. Likewise if you have a sedentary pet that isn't real curious and likes to just lay around, no worries. But if you have a very curious, very active animal with strong jaws and a powerful prey drive--which means they are motivated by scent more than by what their owner tells them to do--then you've gotta hide these things but good.I had just concluded that the baseboard might not be secure and was about to move the trap underneath the recliner, when I spotted what was left of it in the dog's bed. Ox, the Oversized Beagle Pup, technically no longer a puppy, but still active and ambitious, had made a snack of it. All of the toxins were out of the plastic, and they were inside of the dog. A trip through the internet told me that one trap would not kill him, but that diarrhea would likely be in his future (and mine!) Happily, he let me know when it was time, and I got the door open with about five seconds to spare. So...if you have pets that might compromise the casing of the traps, or crawling babies that put everything in their mouths, be really careful about where you put these traps. I'm glad it didn't turn out worse than it did.

Recommend 100%

Every unit in our apartment building has an ant issue. I recommend this product 100% to all my neighbors to use to eliminate ant population. ...I mean, if they are paying rent they shouldn't be here, right?!!!

Was better, but now seems cheap

Terro has been the best brand I have found to get rid of those tiny little ants in my kitchen that crop up every year in the spring. This year the bait trap is different and I'm disappointed. It used to be a more sturdy plastic case with the bait trap inside. It was white on one side and brown on the other which worked great in my house. Now it is some wimpy little off-white plastic shell. The adhesive pad to me seems unreliable as the plastic flexes when you press the trap in place on a wall. I used tape to put it one the wall to make sure it sticks. Overall, I'm sure the trap will still work I'm sure, but it is definitely more cheaply made and doesn't look great. I'm disappointed.

Very disappointed with the new style!!

I was shocked when I got these in the mail and noticed the packaging was way different than the last time I purchased these. Turns out, Terro has been trying to cut costs or something by completely eliminating the rigid outer shell, and many others are frustrated as well (especially since the product photos do not accurately represent what you receive). Mind you, it's this shell/casing that makes these pet safe, so now they're completely useless.I tried using the new version, I did receive additional stickies in the package to attach them to the wall, and my cat could immediately smell them and was showing interest in them. This is very suspicious since he didn't watch me attach them to the baseboards, they are small, and the blended in with the paint. During the night he vomited twice. My cat rarely vomits (like twice a year max) so this was way too much of a coincidence considering he was showing interest in them earlier that evening. I believe he somehow managed to ingest the poison. He seems fine, since the vomiting most likely eliminated any of the poison from his system, but a VERY SCARY experience to go through.I've used the old style with my cat before and he never looked twice at the bait stations. VERY DISAPPOINTED with companies cutting costs like this. These were a perfect pet safe ant trap solution before. Pure company greed. I'd rather live with the ants than go through something like this again.

Ants Gone - 24 Hours !!!

The little container is very flimsy and doesn't stick very well, but it WORKS!!! The instructions said to use all four containers . . . I only used three. All the ants went to the middle container and never touched the other two, but they ARE GONE. It only took 24 hours. I finally have my kitchen back. Ants all gone!!!!
