Worth The Money

I bought this docking station for my legion Go and it's absolutely amazing! I've seen mixed reviews of this dock but I guess it's just a game of chance along with any item that you buy but it looks like it didn't have any flaws or anything. I love the RGB lighting that matches the thumbsticks on my Go. The HDMI port used to connect to a monitor or tv works great. I'm my case I connected it to my Samsung tv and it connected instantly. The 100w usb-c cable charges up my Legion Go so quickly that I do t even have to worry about my battery dying and I do t even need to take a break to get some more juice to the battery. The slidable tray is a little flimsy but is still strong enough to hold my Go. They definitely could have made it a little more sturdier but it does what it's supposed to. I would recommend this docking station to any consumer. It does what it's supposed to and the 12 slots make other devices connecting to if easy a useful.

Almost perfect, but with one small caveat

Low and behold! The nearly perfect Docking station for your steam deck, Ally Rog, and Legion Go! 3 usb C ports. One for host to the actual device, one for PD charging for all devices (at up to 100 watts), and the last usb c port for 3.2 data connection. It has 1 hdmi 2.1 port (for VRR, Gsync, Freesync, and ALLM), 1 displayport (basically the same has the hdmi, but for computer monitors), 2 usb A 3.2 ports, and one usb A 2.0 port. What more can I ask for? It's almost perfect for your handheld docking needs.Except for one small problem. The inconsistencies with using the right USB C to USB C cables. This in particular is for the host connection to the dick itself. Mainly I would just stick with the cable that came with it. But, if you ever lose it, good luck trying the right one. I think certain qualifications has to be met with this one. A cable rated at or more 100 watts, data and video protocols have to be met, and certain manufacturer branded cables will work. Not all will work with this thing. I tried well over 4 or 5 different cables. Same issue, except fir 2 of them. And that, is a big mystery that I'm still trying to solve. Also, for those asking what kind of setup do I have. It's a 4k LG oled B4 (48in) TV, the RGB Docking station itself, the Legion go, a ugreen 8 in 1 USB C hub, 2 usb dongles for my wireless headset and for my gaming controller.

Stopped working after 43 days!!

Product worked mostly good. It had a little flakiness with the HDMI connect. That was annoying but livable as it would go black but come back periodically. Today after having it for 42 days the HDMI thing got worse until it completely stopped working. At this point none of the ports on it function.

Jsaux is high quality

I have been using their 8k cables for years. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the same name brand on this dock. It is the same high quality that I know Jsaux for. This is the only Legion Go specific dock that has an 8k output. Will buy one for downstairs, and my girlfriends house. 10/10

Great docks, with caveats I only learned after the fact

This turned out to be a great dock for my ROG Ally X, with its ability to output in VRR. It's not a complete package, though; you'll have to supply your own USB-C charger. Otherwise, setup was plug-and-play.But this product came with a pretty strong caveat. The reason why I picked this particular dock was for its dual monitor support. However, I only learned after the fact that VRR only works with a single monitor plugged into the dock. This is only mentioned on the manufacturer's official store page. Thankfully my Ally X has two USB ports and was able to work around this limitation with a separate HDMI adapter for my second display. For other handhelds with only one, you're out of luck.

VRR not functional - good thing otherwise

Nicely constructed for a plastic unit, RGB lights are not that loud and can be switched off directly form hardware, base is super wide and stable enough to withstand several heavy braided cables, stand feels flimsy but it is solid enough for a ROG ALLY, included USB-C cable is a tad rigid but it's expected for a 240W rated cable, JSAUX packaging has improved but can still be better. Pretty good for a standard dock, but this is NOT a standard dock. The very reason of existence for the "S" variants (HB0801S in this case) is the VRR function. with everything set and upon connecting the host device, my FreeSync monitor was immediately recognized as FreeSync and HDR capable (which my current DELL dock is unable to grasp) and AMD software enabled the setting automatically, refresh rate was hard capped at 120hz (monitor is 180hz capable, DELL dock can enable it) and that's where good things end. While not gaming (or using anything full screen with GPU acceleration) the thing runs like a dream. The instant a full screen game (running on any DirectX version, Fortnite runs ok on performance mode but VRR cannot be enabled on that mode) is opened, the screen completely blacks out showing ocassional "out of range" messages. calling the windows menu or any windows function will bring back the display as normal.Jsaux support has been very responsive and they provided a couple different firmware versions to try and resolve the issue.FW update #1 changed the blackouts to an exceedingly wobbly image that would again go to full blackout after a few seconds with a constant "out of range" message.FW update #2 reduced the wobbling to a somewhat manageable level with no further "out of range" notices by the screen, performance would "stabilize" to an average of up to 2 seconds of black screen every 10 seconds or so (still unusable). Not good for its intended purpose. it is possible for it to be a decent option with more work on the FW but the provided FWs were almost 8 months apart from each other so polishing the issues is not high on JSAUX list.Returned by JSAUX rep. recommendation
