Boss Katana Head Gen 3 100W Amplifier Head

I wanted something heavier and louder than my Fender Champion 40, which is a decent amp for just jamming at the house and also something that wouldn't break the bank. The Boss Katana III does not disappoint. It's loud AF with a 4 x 12 SEISMIC Cab and has endless amounts of tone and 4 channels. I've had it a few weeks ago and I'm having a blast messing with it. I will get the Bluetooth wireless adapter soon and download the Boss Tone Studio app, from what I've read that opens up an infinite amount of tweaking and options you can play with. I'm not a professional or really proficient guitar player by any means so this is beyond anything I will ever need. For less than $400 this is a no brainer

I owned a boss katana 100 years ago but returned it. I decided to try this one and I’m quite blown away. I have several tube amps and use them through the Suhr Reactive Load and IR. They sound good but the katana sounds better. It takes actual pedals better than my tube amps and has so many options internally that you can essentially do anything you want with it. I can’t speak to its durability long term but I’m very happy with it.

The media could not be loaded. I'm going with 4 stars for now. I'm going to be using the 5" speaker built into the head for my sound, for now. Looking at a 4x10 or 2x12 cabinet later on. I'm a novice and my 5 year old grandson is as well. Haven't had it but 1 day and it sounds good. On board sounds are nice and sound good as well. I did notice at the lowest power setting I couldn't hear it good enough. I turned it to the 50 watt setting and turned the volume knobs down and it sounds way better and a bit louder. Speaker seems fine but it's not cranked either. I'm thinking it's a great deal, bang for the buck kinda thing.

A lot of old-time players will swear you need a tube amp, but this latest Katana Head (Gen 3), beats a tube amp in sonic quality and versatility, hands-down. It has a 5-inch built-in speaker that loud enough to gig with in a small club, and has all the bells and whistles on the front panel to get ANY sound you want. I hooked it up to a 1x12 cab, and 4x12 cab and it's loud enough to rock a stadium. Note with the built-in, 5-inch speaker you only get 30W, but again that's loud enough for a small clubs.You can also hook it up via USB-C to your computer where it serves as both a speaker AND an audio interface for a digital analog workstation (DAW) or even just making loops on Audacity.This is the only amp you need. Using 220v in Hong Kong. The amp came in 110v. so it is a nightmare

Best $350ish dollar amp there is. Period.

This is one of the best amps out there for the money.
