Best Price to Quality Ratio!

Awesome monitor for the price. I got it for watching movies and occasional gaming, 300hz really makes the difference, I had 240 & 280 earlier and games feel much smoother, The colors need a bit calibration but after that the colours are pretty alright! Build quality is solid, I love the design to provide more airflow and it really helps! I do notice some kind of grain and flicker but for this price it makes sense, Setting up the monitor was very very easy, I play CS and casually the other games and i'm satisfied with what I got. I personally never used USB ports because I don't need to use them but they will definitely help if you need to charge your phone through it or need some extra ports! Speakers have a very low sound, I got another acer brand monitor , which was around $100 and they sound three times higher in the volume but I rarely use it. Gaming wise this monitor is more than enough you need, Good gaming monitor for the attractive price!

Great value for a Competitve Shooter 1440p monitor

This review is for the 300hz 1440p 27" variantIt is an excellent monitor for high refresh rate gaming at a relatively budget price. It is not an OLED when it comes to HDR or input latency, but the picture is overall quite decent and it is plenty capable of being a good monitor for a competitive first person shooter player. If you dont want to spend the money for one of thr qd-oled 27" options, I would certainly recommend this monitor. I have experience comparing this monitor side by side with the Samsung 1440p 240hz 27" offering that costs a bit more, and I slightly preferred the picture on this one. I also found the difference from 240hz to 300hz noticable on games that my computer could render at these speeds (or higher). If you are looking for a 1440p monitor for competitive shooters, this is the best value and it is relatively more future-proof than a lower Hz monitor, because it will be able to utilize upgrades to your PC for a longer time. It's a great option for E-Sports, Call of Duty, etc. However, if you mainly play stuff like Diablo or WoW, I would strongly suggest a 3440x1440p (21x9) monitor. The increase in screen size for those games is an incredible asset. In competitive FPS titles and e-sports, you probably benefit more from the extra FPS that a 16:9 gets than the increased peripheral area of a 21:9. That is a longer discussion altogether, so I will just finalize this by saying thay I have compared numerous 16:9 and 21:9 side-by-side with an open mind, and this is my ultimate conclusion. When I ordered this monitor in 11/2024 it was $279. In 3/2025 it is now $259. Get the "Camel Camel" app so that you can see the price history of amazon listings, and make sure that you grab things when they are a good deal.

Great Bang for Buck

This is possibly the best bang for your buck monitor in the 240-300hz IPS range. But what does bang for your buck mean? This does not mean it's the best quality panel you can buy, but it's also not the cost of a top tier panel. You are getting an imperfect panel with still great performance at a great price. The motion clarity is great. The colors are great. And the contrast for an IPS panel are pretty decent. So what's the catch? You are playing the panel lottery. There is likely going to be slightly noticeable backlight bleed. You may get a panel with a dead pixel/imperfection and have to send it back for a replacement. The first one I bought was such. The replacement had no dead pixels or bright spots. The viewing angles aren't the best in terms of typical IPS angles. You are probably going to notice vignetting up close (where the sides are darker than the center). But keep in mind... I didn't pay $400 plus dollars. I got it on sale for $250. It's constantly on sale for $280 which I also still find to be reasonable. I think the monitor is honestly worth up to $300. Note that it does have DSC that can be turned off. I'm running at 240hz 8 bit with no DSC and it's a great experience. So if you are looking to finally delve into higher refresh rate gaming but don't have $400/$500, this is the monitor for you. Buy it knowing it won't be perfect, but also knowing you are getting a heck of a deal for an overall very good monitor.
