Not quit the replacement match.Some pre drilling was required.And the attic door doesn’t close all the way !

Weak rivits
These arms have very small rivets, so collapse after a few uses. I had to take out the rivets and exchange them with large headed bolts.

Inadequate metal , poor assembly
Installed bracketry to rafter, hooked up spring then started to apply the tension. To much stress used in assembly and weakened what thin metal there was. Fulcrum rivet point actually pulled chunk out of the mount. Had to repair with an old part using an elevator bolt so the arm would pass. Bottom line is there built with poor, non hardened steel. And there peening process for rivets is way to aggressive. Steel is crushed and rivets distorted. On Second order now, these probably wont last. Save yourself the headaches and buy a different brand.
