My wife really wanted to try building one of these so I surprised her with one and it came in yesterday; she was so excited. She and our 10 year old put it together and it took an hour and a half. It does require AAA batteries (not included) for the lighting inside. It is so cute and sits nicely on your book shelf. I’ve included photos of what it looks like in the daytime and what it looks like glowing in the dark on the shelf next to a larger book (for size reference). I definitely would recommend this book nook because it was a great price (got it on sale for like $26.99), was easy to put together, was great craftsmanship, great bonding hobby and wonderful for book obsessed people (my wife reads so much, she has a mini library going on in the bedroom). My wife recommends it and says 5/5 stars! If you’re a beginner, this is great for you.

The media could not be loaded. Super cute and fun!No missing pieces, and a fun craft to do while watching a movie/relaxing. Good quality, light worked, and the instructions were great. Some pieces take a little effort to fit together, but this ensures that the structure is secure, so that was worth it!Only bump I hit was totally on me because it’s in the listing and I missed it, but YOU need to provide your own glue, as well as two AAA batteries for the light.Just a heads up in case you missed that like I did!Already bought a second kit- I’m obsessed :)Please ignore the glue on the window and the bulging battery in the back…I recorded before cleaning/rearranging… this is not a product issue! 😆

This the CUTEST most UNIQUE Book Nook!!!I bought this as an Easter present for my 18 year old daughter who loves to read! It did take her some time to put together, but well worth it. Instructions were not the best, but doable. It was the perfect size, not too little and not too big. The light in it lights up perfectly so you can see all details inside. So cool that you just touch the top part just behind the area where the door is and it turns on and off. The only part that was wrong with this product was the back wasn't cut in the right place to house the battery pack so it's just hanging out of it. Basically it was cut on the bottom left and it should have been the bottom right where the built in box for the battery pack is located. Is that a huge problem? Not really as you are putting it in between a bunch of books and you can't see it from the front. I'm giving it a 5 because overall it's VERY cute, unique and just the coolest thing!

Snapping the microscopic potted plants and fairy lights into a little cardboard storefront is the ideal cozy rom-com montage!The instructions were surprisingly clear, and the materials were high quality—tiny wood pieces, colorful paper flowers, even a little LED light to make the shop glow like a dreamy Parisian alleyway at night. It’s detailed enough to feel impressive when it’s done, but not so complicated that you want to hurl it across the room halfway through.Bonus: when it’s finished, you get to slide it between your books and pretend your bookshelf has secret magical dimensions. Which it now does, obviously.Whether you're a DIY novice or a seasoned crafter, this book nook is pure joy. Grab your favorite snacks, play some lo-fi music, and build a tiny world with your bestie or your love. The perfect date night activity. Would absolutely recommend (and now I want to live in this fictional flower shop, thank you very much).

Nice kit, looks good, but I had it almost complete before running into trouble with the outside walls. I had to partially disassemble and file some tabs and slots for a better fit. So, it's important to do this to get parts to seat all the way, otherwise trouble near the end. I have another kit on order, will use this experience to make the next more enjoyable.I did not use the lighting parts, lots of complaints in reviews how reliable the lighting is, also not impressed how the battery replacement works, I can see that "door" breaking.

This was my first book nook. I chose it because it was the least amount of pieces. It was a wonderful challenge and I had to be patient with it. The results were amazing. I especially love the lighting aspect that allows you to see all the details inside. Already ordered another one! I think the age 14+ could be adjusted to maybe 16+, takes a lot of patience.

I loved this little kit! I have a few miniature kits under my belt & this was the easiest one to put together, making it excellent for beginners or anyone wanting to dip their toes into the world of miniatures.The parts were very sturdy & durable; the instructions were pretty clear; the design was ADORABLE and cozy. It said 14+ on the package, but if your kiddo is good at building things, I’d say even a 9/10 year old could do this with minimal adult help.

Once I started building this, I could not stop. It was so incredibly satisfying to click and glue everything in place and look upon the final result. A super special and perfect way to end the rough work week I had.The lighting is super easy to install, the touch pad works perfectly and the bulb has such an adorable glow at nighttime. The value for the price is honestly worth it, in my opinion. It's detailed, intricate, and so long as you are patient, delicate, and trust the process, I believe you will be as pleased as I am to look at it when it's done! Even if you make a mistake and place something wrong, it is not too hard to undo the click and try again! Just pay real close attention to the instructions so you dont have to take the bookshelf apart like I did, lol. 10/10 would recommend! Be sure to have small scissors and glue before you start and some AAA batteries for the light!
