Fast shipping, pro level guitar
I collect premium jems. There are 4…. White, blue, woody, and green. Now I have all 4. The seller shipped this fast. I ordered it on Saturday and it was here on Tuesday. It was brand new sealed in the original Ibanez box. I am very happy with the guitar. Like all new guitars it needs a set up to really be a tool for the true artist, but right out of the box it was in tune and plays ok. This guitar is pro level. People say this bridge the edge zero ii is a bad bridge but those are just trolls…. The trem is good and the whammy bar works beautifully and it stays in tune. I own other jems with the og edge and it does not make a difference for me.

Amazing sound
This is one of the nicest beginner guitars I ever seen , the craftsmanship is very nice , very artistic. The sound is so clear and resonant . I definitely recommend this guitar ! We Just love it !

Not whats advertised
The guitar is amazing but its a misleading ad. There is no hardshell case its a gig bag. When I contacted gear tree they blamed it on amazon. You'll have to go find your own hard shell case.

Almost
Being a big Steve Vai fan, I was finally able to afford this and bought it when it was on a flash sale last summer. Unfortunately, I was kind of disappointed when I got it.The neck is fantastic, no complaints there. For those of you unfamiliar with Ibanez Wizard necks, they're very flat and super thin. There have been several versions and iterations of this neck profile over the years and this Jem Premium neck profile is essentially right in between the Ibanez Super Wizard (thinnest at 17mm) and the Wizard 3 (thickest at 19mm). If you like playing fast licks, scales, arpeggios, etc., you'll love this neck (though you'll have get used to the thinness if you've never played necks like this before). The tone of the pickups, the resonance of the strings on the body, the body contours, all just fantastic. What I didn't like was the graphics. When you see the pictures and images online, the flower graphics really pop out and looks amazing. In person though, you can barely see it, unless you have a strong light source pointing at it. Who knows, maybe I just got a dud in the graphics department. The whole reason why I wanted this guitar was because of that blue floral theme throughout but when it looks that flat, I was just wasting money on it so I couldn't justify keeping it so I returned it.The other thing I didn't like was the tremolo system. Ibanez has an amazing Edge tremolo but in this guitar is the more affordable Edge-Zero 2 version (to keep costs down). While it's better than their standard DL trem, the trem bar locks in with a screwing collar, like most Floyd style trem. Even though it's better than their standard trem, there's still too much play (looseness/wobble) when using the bar. This Jem costs $500 more than my 1k Ibanez RG550 Genesis Japanese made guitar and that has the better trem so I returned this and bought the Jem Jr in black to modify it instead. If you don't mind the stuff I mentioned, you'll love this guitar. But if functionality is more important over aesthetics, get the Ibanez Prestige models for around the same price with better hardware.

Best guitar I've ever owned!
Until now, I've been playing on various lower-end to midrange guitars mostly and after getting this thing setup at a local shop, I can instantly feel the difference. Quality, sound, ease of play... Everything about it is just miles above what I'm used to. Don't regret the purchase at all, just the company that I bought it from since the description says "comes with hard case" which it did not. The company basically called me a liar even though I provided pictures as proof. In the long run I kept the guitar since it didn't have any thing wrong with it physically. Beware if buying from GearTree on the marketplace because, aside from their terrible customer service, many reviews said the seller screwed them out of money by saying the customer damaged the guitar, then charged them insane fees.

I love this guitar
I bought this as a second guitar, Iona floral gem 98, and I wanted something that played similar to it. I love the way it looks and the way it sounds however, the neck is quite a bit wider. I’ve never really noticed, but when I lead, I do hang my thumb over the top of the neck, especially when playing and higher registers above the 12th frat. This is hard to do unless you have a really long Steve fingers lol. It’s taking me a while to get used to this guitar and it neck, as I mentioned it’s quite a bit wider than the original wizard necks on the older style gems, but I really do love it.

Great guitar, plays like a dream!!!
after having this guitar for a few days i can honestly say i made the right choice, beautiful guitar, the maple neck feels great, the jumbo frets are nice and the combination of the evolution pickup in the middle with the new gravity storm at the neck and bridge sounds great, the gravity storms are a little more open in tone, they don't lose definition on the strings at high gain, and the cleans are beautifull, exactly what i was looking for, overall great finish, totally in love with this guitar since the first blue floral pattern jem came out in the 90's, had some money at the right time, now i don't dream anymore!!!!

Not impressed.
This guitar is overrated. I didn't come set up as I expected it to and I am getting fret buzz. For a $1600 instrument that's disappointing. The cheaper Ibanez S520 and S670 feel way better with their faster wizard III necks. They are also half the weight of this guitar. I should have just switched out the pickups on one of those or even the Ibanez RG421. Even the PRS SE standard, which costs much less, kills this guitar. Don't get me wrong, the guitar is beautiful to look at but fails to impress me with it's playability.
