Does the trick!
Pros: A great investment if you’re looking for a more professional touch. I’ve used gas edgers in the past and didn’t have high expectations for a corded unit, but this all but weightless little dude impressed with its power and performance. Although incredibly happy with my first pass, I’m 100% confident that each further usage will only clean it up better. A little back & forth in the denser soil, but no big deal. Moreover, once you get the excess soil out the first time you won’t have to deal with it again.Cons: The angle of the lever is not adjustable, and anyone taller than 5’ 10” will have to lean forward a little bit. However, it’s very light and manageable so this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Enjoy the fruits of your labor while neighbors walk/drive by and take notice of your tidy lawn.

Powerful Edger
I was on the fence whether to buy a cordless or an electric edger. I have an older Mantis 2 cycle tiller (that's not working so well anymore), which I was using for edging. What a difference! The Worx Electric Edger is awesome. The edging of the sidewalk hadn't been properly done for a couple of years, and the guide blade of the Worx makes this edging much better than my Mantis tiller/edger. It now looks very professional. The cords were a bit of a pain (I used three long extension cords), but well worth it. The price was right. I've tried (in the past) a cordless edger, but it wasn't as powerful as this Worx Edger. I can't compare it to the Greenworks cordless 80v edger, which I considered buying. Overall, I'm glad I bought the Worx. After all, you only use the edger for your sidewalk 2-3 times a year, so taking out the cords is not a big deal.

A Powerful and Versatile Lawn Edger & Trencher
I recently purchased the WORX WG896 12 Amp 7.5" Electric Lawn Edger & Trencher to tackle the task of maintaining my lawn's edges and creating neat trenches. Having used it extensively over the past few months, I must say that this machine offers great power and versatility. In this detailed review, I'll provide an honest and unbiased account of my experience, covering key points and offering helpful tips for potential buyers.Design and Build Quality:The WG896 boasts a well-thought-out design that is both ergonomic and sturdy. The handle is comfortable to grip, allowing for extended periods of use without causing strain. The construction of the edger is robust, ensuring durability even when encountering tough soil or roots. It feels like a high-quality product that will last for years to come.Powerful Performance:Equipped with a 12 Amp motor, this edger packs a punch. It effortlessly cuts through grass, overgrown weeds, and even stubborn roots, leaving clean and precise edges. The blade's 7.5-inch diameter is ideal for maintaining straight lines and crisp borders. I was impressed by its ability to handle various terrains, including sloped areas, without losing power or creating uneven edges. It's worth noting that the trenching function is equally impressive, allowing me to create defined trenches for irrigation or landscape projects.Ease of Use:One of the standout features of the WG896 is its user-friendly design. Assembly was a breeze, requiring minimal effort and no additional tools. The adjustable handle height caters to users of different heights, ensuring a comfortable operating position. The edger's lightweight nature makes it easy to maneuver around tight corners and along uneven terrain. Furthermore, the blade depth adjustment mechanism is straightforward and enables precise control over the cutting depth.Versatility:The WORX WG896 truly shines when it comes to its versatility. It serves as both a lawn edger and a trencher, eliminating the need for separate tools. The quick-release lever allows for seamless conversion between the two functions, saving time and effort. Whether you need to create well-defined edges along your driveway or dig trenches for cables or landscape lighting, this tool has you covered. The ability to tackle multiple tasks with a single device makes it an excellent investment for homeowners.Safety Features:WORX has taken safety seriously with the WG896. The built-in blade guard provides reliable protection, preventing accidental contact with the sharp blade. Additionally, the unit incorporates a two-hand operation system, ensuring that both hands are engaged during operation for added safety. These features offer peace of mind while working with this powerful tool.Maintenance and Durability:Maintaining the WG896 is hassle-free. The blade can be easily removed for cleaning and sharpening, ensuring consistent performance over time. The overall build quality instills confidence in the tool's durability. However, it is worth mentioning that regular cleaning and lubrication are essential to prevent clogging and ensure smooth operation.Noise and Vibration:One drawback I noticed with the WG896 is its noise level. As with most electric-powered tools, it produces a fair amount of noise during operation. Although not excessive, it may be a consideration for those who have noise restrictions in their area. Additionally, some minor vibrations can be felt while using the tool, but they are not significant enough to cause discomfort or impact performance.Price and Value for Money:Considering the performance and versatility offered by the WG896, it provides excellent value for the price. While it may be slightly higher priced than some competitors, its durability and reliability make it a worthwhile investment. With this tool, you get the benefits of both a high-quality lawn edger and a trencher, saving money and storage space in the long run. Conclusion:In conclusion, the WORX WG896 12 Amp 7.5" Electric Lawn Edger & Trencher has proven to be a powerful and versatile tool that exceeded my expectations. Its sturdy construction, powerful performance, ease of use, and dual functionality make it an excellent choice for homeowners looking to achieve clean and professional-looking lawn edges and trenches. With minor considerations regarding noise and vibration, the WG896 is a reliable companion for maintaining a well-groomed lawn. I highly recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient lawn edger and trencher.

Very pleased with this versus my old gas-engine edger
I replaced a gas edger with this item. The gas edger was hard to start, took up a lot of space in the garage, and was not easy to use.I had a great first experience with this edger today. I needed to cut through some dense ornamental grass roots on the side of my driveway, and this handled the job nicely. Some effort was needed to push the machine, but it is light and easy to maneuver. Next, I edged around the rest of my driveway, curb, and sidewalk. It had been more than a year since my last edging. It did a fine job. My old gas edger had a longer blade and cut a bit deeper, but this was so much easier to use. It cleaned up nicely and easily, and then I hung it from a hook in my garage until next time.I have plenty of extension cords and outlets, and using a corded model was not an issue. I've had some other corded lawn equipment that was a pain because of back-and-forth patterns that were needed. Edging is just a couple of straight lines, and the cord did not get in the way or become a pain. I'm happy I saved the money on a corded model vs. buying a more expensive one that required a custom battery and charger.

Easy to use. Does a fantastic job. It's a workhorse machine with plenty of power for heavy-duty use.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It has a lot of power, is easy to use, and is lightweight enough to use for extended periods without getting tired out. I used it on heavily overgrown curbs and sidewalks, and it proved to be a workhorse machine that performed well. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.

The number one edger
I receive my electric worx edger, a few days ago so I took it out to see what it can do. And the worx electric edger perform outstanding i will recommend this edger to anyone it's better to me than those cordless battery charge ones . The worx electric edger has power my grass was overgrown and it was alittle hard at first if it was a cordless one it wouldn't have finish the job. So this is what I like about the electric worx edger it has plenty of power, I don't have to change it after using it for an hour . So for the reasons I just stated to me this is the number one edger on the market. Go buy one and you will believe too.
