Just the right size for our needs
As a diabetic, I go through the sharps like crazy, between glucose tests and insulin injections. The quart size is just about right for my needs, though. A gallon size would be ridiculous when I don't use that many sharps, and would take up too much space, besides. I have one of these on my bedside table for morning blood sugar tests. Because we got multiple containers with this bundle, I now keep another in the office, for when my husband gives me my insulin pen injections after he gets off work (I'm too much of a wimp to jab myself beyond the blood tests). So it's good to have the containers where we are, rather than us having to go where a container is.There are two openings at the top--one wide for dropping in...whatever, and another where you can twist in the needles and then push them in to avoid getting stuck when removing them from the pen. It takes about 2-3 months to fill up a container with the pen injection needles, and probably 4 months for the bedroom container of blood test lancets, strips and even used bandages that I toss in there, too, to cut down on biohazard products going into my garbage pell mell. The final seal off is as easy as can be: Close the covers until the tabs click into the slot, then dispose of the entire thing as per local ordinance.A great set of containers at a great price. It doesn't get any better than this.

Perfect!
I was nervous about purchasing a non-brand name sharps container after having used the brand name forever. I found on these that the temporary closure is more reliable and easier to use. On the brand name, it would take some finagling to get it to close then it would still often pop open. With these, a simple press of the fingers and it closes securely. The plastic is strong and durable. The lids snap on securely. And, unlike the brand name I’ve been using, the containers when packaged aren’t pushed together so tightly that it takes 45” to separate one. Yes, to separate my 3 brand name sharps, it took me a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes of pushing, pulling, bending, and prying to get them apart. Sore fingers and time I’ll never get back. The size is perfect for me since it fits in the small basket where I keep my insulin syringes used to inject corticosteroids three times a day, the meds, and everything else I need. It holds 60 insulin syringes and 15 plain needles. These sharps containers are a great quality at a great price. I will definitely be purchasing again.
