4 years later - VERY well worth the purchase!
It's been FOUR YEARS since I bought this and I HAVE to up-date! Do NOT hesitate to purchase this! Don't bother to look else-where! For 4 years I haven't used the stove at all because this little gem cooks everything from pot roasts through stews, soups, fried foods, pancakes, eggs, absolutely EVERY-THING! And I've noticed a MAJOR difference in my utility bills since I've used it. It cooks as well (and almost as quickly) as the stove but using a LOT LESS power!CUISINART REALLY out-did themselves with this item! I've NEVER been moved to actually WANT to let people know about a truly GREAT item, but I can't resist this time.BUY! With confidence! Less expensive will be "cheaper" in quality and I don't think ANYTHING can beat this!4 years and it works as well as it did right out of the box! Easy to clean, maintain.Yes, the top does get hot so be careful of that. And my ONLY disappointment is that it does scratch easily. Hopefully CUISINART has done something about that. But other-wise... a truly remarkable appliance that has served for 4 years... and with DAILY use!(Original Review)I've waited 8 months before reviewing because I wanted to be sure this was worth the purchase and IT IS! Because I rent from a landlord who knows the stove supplied doesn't work & refuses to replace it, I bought this, hoping to be able to use it for every day cooking. I didn't expect much from it but today, I can say that I've cooked complete meals including pot roasts, soups, deep fried foods & the likes (mostly on the larger of the 2 burners). Yes, it takes a few minutes longer than the stove to heat, & it's best to use covered pots, cooking time takes mere minutes longer, but the convenience and the reduction in my electric bills have MORE than paid for it. I'd originally tried to save by purchasing a "sound-alike" brand, and that didn't last through the first use. So the extra money spent has been more than worth the investment. I just wish Cuisinart hadn't surrendered to the "Made In" because the difference in quality is noticeable. But other-wise, I can say that, this being all that's available, it IS worth the investment. Just be sure to watch for "boil-overs" as these can make a bit of a difficult clean-up on the burners. But with regular care, mine looks today, as good as it did when it came out of the box!

Seamlessly Integrates
The Cuisinart Countertop Double Burner in Silver is a stylish and functional addition to any kitchen. Its sleek design seamlessly integrates into various countertop aesthetics, while the dual burners offer flexibility for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously. The burners themselves provide consistent heat distribution, ensuring even cooking results. Though compact, the unit maintains a sturdy build and easy-to-clean surfaces. While it may lack some advanced features found in higher-end models, this double burner provides reliable performance for everyday cooking needs.

Glad I purchased this!
I've been using this countertop stove for almost 2 years now, and I absolutely love it! As far as performance, it heats water from room temperature to boiling in 7 minutes (I've timed it), and the size is as close to perfect as one could get. Love the very thin vertical dimension - makes it easy to store. It does have 2 (minor, in my opinion) drawbacks however (and thus the 4 stars). One: It takes FOREVER to cool down, once it's at full heat - even when shut off and unplugged. Two: The smaller burner never really gets hot enough to actually cook anything on it. It's only useful for keeping something warm. But that disadvantage is offset by allowing one to move a pot from the left burner to the right, if you need a lower heat. (Remember, the burners take forever to cool down.)Seems to be reliable (so far, knock on wood). after daily use for nearly 2 years now, it continues to work perfectly. Also, it weighs next to nothing. Very easy to move from storage to countertop and back again.

Convenient
This works great in a camper when you don't want to use the gas stove. It does take a few minutes to heat up but still a great product, really like the idea of having both gas & electric. Easy to move around when not in use.

This is my second purchase of this Cuisinart countertop 2-burner electric. I'm happy with it.
The first time I purchased this product was about 6 years ago. It worked great for 6 years. Then the larger burner (which is mostly the only I used) stopped working. The small burner still worked fine after 6 years. I was searching for another countertop electric burner to replace my old Cuisinart, mostly because I was hoping to find a larger burner to fit my large Dutch oven-type pot; however, even though I searched and searched, I could not find a product with a significantly larger burner so I once again bought the electric 2-burner Cuisinart, & I'm happy I did. Even though the larger burner is smaller than the bottom of my large pots, it still works out fine for me -- I just make sure I regularly stir whatever food I'm cooking in my large pot so that the heat will spread throughout the food, & this really works just fine. I like how simple and straightforward this countertop electric burner is. Although I wished it would last me for many, many years, I guess that 6 years of use is pretty acceptable. I believe it comes with a 3-year warranty. The cast iron burners heat up quickly and will bring food/water to a boil quickly.
