I love this item! Just arrived today and I immediate placed it in the freezer. Tried it out in a couple of hours and my shoulder pain melted away. Not sure how long it lasted, just know I felt soooooo much better. My intention is to use this after my home PT exercises. It is a gel product if that matters. I was able to put it on without assistance, just have to set the arm part first and self thread the strap and you should be able to do it alone as well. Good luck in all recovery stages.

If you have injured your shoulder or are recovering from surgery, this is an excellent ice pack. I believe it can be used by warming it as well but I have not tried that it conforms to your shoulder and upper arm very nicely and the straps are quite adjustable and, easy to fit. There is a large zipper top plastic bag that contains the ice pack itself to keep it clean in your freezer. I would say that it is much better than a bag of frozen peas!

Brought this for my husband who has a shoulder injury. This ice pack has made it much easier for him to me constant with icing his shoulder as advised by his doctor. It’s comfortable and it stays in pack. What I like about it also comes with a zip lock type bag which keep it from touching your food in the freezer. I would definitely recommend this ice pack.

Simple to put on, works like a charm

My husband has used this for 6 days and now it will not stay inflated. He really loved it until that happened. Will have to return. EDIT: The company replaced the item and I will get a refund after I send the old one in. Great customer service.

The cold does not last long enough there should be an ability to buy an extra set of cold packs

Fantastic customer service when the gel pack leaked and they immediately replace it. The product is very comfortable and effective. After injuring my shoulder due to a violent fall wrangling an unruly German Shepard, I had to apply ice and heat to it, but ice packs would not stay in place. Other shoulder ice packs were not large enough for me, so I was pleased to find this unit was plenty large. Any shoulder ice pack is difficult to put on by yourself when one shoulder is in pain and doesn't work well. I can't blame this product for that. Get someone to aid you or learn a technique that works. I slipped it on my arm and over my shoulder then balanced it there while I leaned to the other side to let the long strap hang where I could grab it with my good arm then connect it. The ice worked for a bit over 30 minutes for me. I would recommend this product to others, especially the XL size for those of us who are large.

This is an okay ice pack, fits fairly well to the shoulder. Ice pack is hard (I thought it was supposed to be gel, that's what I searched for), but it is designed with joints, so you can still wrap it around reasonably well. My main complaint is that it has nice thick flocked type of material, but it's on the outside! The part that touches your skin is super thin, so you HAVE to use it with a towel. Very frustrating!
