This is a great addition to dry cat food. Especially for older cats. The smell can be quite fishy- cats like fish. The pouches are fairly easy to open, I can’t tear it so I use scissors. It’s easy to just squeeze it into the dish without getting it on fingers.Small to medium sized chunks are in the broth. We have to mash them for our 19yr. Old cat.

My cat is getting older, and wasn't eating enough of her food to stay healthy. These are a life-saver - a variety of flavors, so I can give her just a packet or pour a packet on top of her canned food. She loves them, the flavor and the texture. After putting some in her food dish, I often pour a little water into the packet to get all the almost gravy-like broth and meaty (well, fishy) bits for her. On my regular subscription order now.

My cats absolutely love this (but they love gravy and broth, which the product has a lot of). You're essentially just paying for that and bits of fish here and there (using small flaky pieces or 2-4 largish 1in pieces). This is not a great product in terms of protein, really just a topper to get your cats to eat their more healthy (possibly less palatable) meal. Note that there is approximately 18cal per pouch so adjust to your cat's calorific needs.
