Great picture even better price.
If you’re in the market for an affordable 50-inch 4K TV with solid performance, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV might be just what you need. Offering impressive features at a reasonable price point, it delivers a great viewing experience without breaking the bank. Here’s a detailed look at what this TV has to offer.Design and BuildThe design of the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is simple and sleek, with a slim bezel that gives it a modern, minimalist look. It fits well in most living rooms or entertainment spaces and doesn’t take up too much room. The stand is sturdy, though it may look a bit basic compared to higher-end models. It’s not the flashiest design, but it’s functional and gets the job done.Picture QualityThe 4K resolution is a major highlight, and the TV delivers a sharp and detailed picture. Colors are vibrant, and the contrast is decent for the price. While it's not as advanced as higher-end OLED models, it still provides a great viewing experience, especially for everyday content like streaming shows, sports, and video games. The LED display offers good brightness levels, making it suitable for moderately lit rooms. The HDR support enhances the overall picture quality, bringing more depth to brighter highlights and darker shadows. However, it’s worth noting that the black levels may not be as deep as what you’d find in more premium models, but it’s still solid for the price range.Smart FeaturesRunning on the Roku TV platform, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV gives you access to a wide array of streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube right out of the box. The interface is user-friendly, and navigation is smooth, allowing you to switch between apps and settings quickly. Roku’s voice control feature adds convenience for those who prefer a hands-free experience. The TV also supports popular voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, which makes it easy to control your TV with simple voice commands.Sound QualityWhile the sound quality is decent, it doesn’t stand out. The built-in speakers are clear enough for casual viewing, but they lack the richness and depth you’d find in higher-end models or with external sound systems. For a better audio experience, pairing the TV with a soundbar or external speakers is a good idea.### **Performance**The TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV offers smooth performance thanks to its fast refresh rate and low input lag, making it a good choice for gamers. It handles motion well, providing clear action scenes in fast-paced sports or movies. The response time is quick, ensuring that there is minimal delay between what’s happening on-screen and the action.Value for MoneyAt its price point, the TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is an excellent value. While it may not have all the premium features of more expensive models, it offers great picture quality, decent sound, and a user-friendly smart TV experience without costing a fortune. It's perfect for those who want a solid 4K TV for everyday entertainment and streaming.Final ThoughtsThe TCL 50-inch 4K LED TV is an affordable and reliable option for anyone looking to upgrade to 4K without spending too much. It provides good picture quality, a solid smart TV experience, and decent performance overall. While the sound and black levels could be improved, it’s a fantastic choice for budget-conscious buyers who want a big-screen 4K TV with all the essentials.

Great TV for a great price
I'm not by any means a TV fanatic where I need the best of the best technology so just having a TV that looks good and functions well is good enough for me. I bought the equivalent of this TV like 6 years ago but it ended up getting damaged in the move so this is the replacement. The other one lasted a long time without any complaint and I'm sure it would have lasted much longer if not for the move damage. I also have this same brand in a 55 inch going on 7 years. Highly recommend this TV for a good quality picture, easy functionality with roku, and a fair price. I also noticed this TV weighs about half what my old ones of the same size was, so they definitely made some improvements in that time.

Sound is lacking, over all a great deal...
I bought this tv as a direct replacement of another Roku that died on me... It was about 6 years old and got the "black screen of death." I could have fixed it, sure, but when I found out that I could get a new tv for about the same cost as repairing the old one, why bother? Anyway, I'm happy with my purchase, this tv is fantastic! The picture is awesome and I really like ROKU's operating system... Setup is super simple, adding apps and customizing it to suit preferences is simple, too.My complaints are few, but there are a couple, hence the 4-star rating...The sound is not that great, lacking in fact. I'm a musician and this tv sounds "hollow" to me. Like it desperately needs an EQ adjustment and some more power! Streaming movies and such, the sound is "ok," but it needs more umph to it IMO. A sound bar would probably do wonders, but that's an additional expense... The sound is pretty disappointing in actuality, but not intolerable. The other thing I don't particularly care for is a feature that the remote should have. As mentioned, I'm used to it from my old Roku tv remote (which is almost identical btw), but it could use a backlight for use in the dark. But that's really my only complaint about the remote itself. It's simple and effective/efficient. A bonus though, if you have a smartphone, you can download the free Roku remote app and use that as the tv remote. Seems to be the wave of the future I think? In fact, tv's in the future may not even come with a physical remote, you'll have to download it... Anyway, the downloaded app has way more features on it than the physical remote does, including being backlit... I'm pretty impressed with the remote app actually, but still just use the physical remote it came with. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with this tv. When/if it dies on me like the old one did, I'll more than likely buy another one.

A great TV for the Value
Got this TV for my mom, she has been loving it. the 50 inch was the perfect size for a medium sized bedroom like hers. Color and picture is great for the price of this TV. It is plenty bright, the smart features are nice to have, the OS doesn't seem to be laggy or anything. I can't comment too much on the OS since it is barely used mostly. It links great to the Alexa to turn on and off the TV with.
