Easy to Use and Quiet!
I purchased this unit because I liked its features-even though it was more expensive than most of the other water distillers. It arrived in good time, and was easy to unpack. You have to put the handles on the glass pitcher, but that was not difficult to do. Once that was done, you add water, put the top on the unit, align the pitcher under the spout, set your time and let it run. The 2 cleaning cycles went flawlessly. I used hot tap water in the holding tank filled up to the full mark for both cycles. The first I let run for 3:20 and there was still about an inch of water in the tank. The second ran for 4 hours and the tank was almost dry. There was very little sludge in the tank, so I quickly rinsed it out and dried. Today I am running my first keeper batch, starting with hot tap water - it started dispensing distilled water 20 minutes into the run.I am mainly going to use the water for my mist humidifier in my bedroom, so am not using any charcoal filtering. This uses about a half gallon a night, and I can easily produce this in 1-2 days a week. What do I like:1. The distiller is very quiet, about 60 decibels that sounds like a quiet small fan.2. Easy to run and easy to clean.3. Stainless steel is very sturdy and the unit is solid and feels well-made.4. The distiller spout is easy to align with the flask catching the water, unlike some of the other models I checked out on Amazon (comments).5. Stainless steel body gets hot but you can still touch it without being hurt. What I don’t like: NOTHING.If you are liking at purchasing a countertop water distiller, seriously consider this one - it is worth the additional dollars.

3rd review. Plug melted. Design Defect. Recommend you stay clear!
Latest Edit: 2/2025: The plug melted. I now agree with others here. I think it's a design defect. IMO, it's a risk of fire, sorry. If you're an electrician, maybe you can rework the power supply as it was nice while it was working. Anyone else, steer clear. My earlier distiller Megahome was much more money but never had these kind of issues.Edit: I found through a web search the email address for support: vhsupport@163.comI emailed them and they did respond after a few days.Original review:My distiller died after about 4 months. I managed to fix it. Disclaimer: This may or may not work for you. You should know and be comfortable working on electrical things or take it to someone who can do this. What made mine stop working may be different from yours when it breaks. What I did... Where the power goes in to the unit, there is a concealed fuse. Look closely and you'll see how to pull it out. The unit comes with a spare fuse which you will also find in there. Possibly just swapping in the spare fuse may fix you. For mine, I found that the metal fuse holder connections were not holding the fuse tightly. I bent each of the four arms to make a better connection and now my distiller works again.General review...Service/Warranty:I read somewhere it has a 1 year warranty but there is no contact info for the manufacturer. You can return it within 30 days to Amazon and within 90 days you can message the seller through Amazon. After 90 days you are on your own. The distiller, when working, is really nice. Ideally you're good with electrical things or have a friend who can look at it if/when it dies. If you don't then this probably isn't the best for you. I also own a much more expensive Megahome distiller which works about the same but there is support.Works Nicely:It makes a gallon of water for me in about 4 hours. I like the ability to set the timer and have it stop before it's totally dry. This makes cleanup much easier and also seems safer. Everything inside seems to be stainless steel. It doesn't come with the carbon filter which fits in the outlet, so you'll need to buy that separately. How many stars? If these worked reliably for years as they should, they'd be 4 or 5 stars. I'm actually somewhat happy with mine, but I shouldn't have to repair it and I wanted 1 star to catch your attention so it might help you.

As advertised
Slight staining after each use which cleans off with citric acid. It is a little louder than a standard microwave. 3 hours for about 3 gallons. Works as advertised.

Do not get the base wet
The distiller works really good. It’s a little slow takes about 4 1/2 hours to make a gallon but it works good. The biggest issue is when you are washing it do not get the base wet especially where you put the unit in. I’ve had one it got wet and shorted out somehow so I bought another one. I’m just gonna be easy with it.

Been using this about a month now and love it.
This thing is great. I have been using it almost a month now and make 1 or 2 gallons daily. I see reviews about "gross stuff left in the machine after distilling". This is because you have either terrible water quality and that is the garbage left behind from the distillation process OR you left it run way to long after the water was empty and its burnt. Its not the device, its you. I have made at least 40 gallons of distilled water and only had to clean the machine once. The included cleaning powder worked great when I let it warm up and sit for a bit. The only negative I have is the handle is a little jankey but it works fine once you attach it correctly. The glass on the jug is a little thin but it just means you have to be careful with it. I put down a towel since I have marble counter tops and don't want to risk breaking the glass. Overall this device is very high quality and does a perfect job. Tested PPM after distilling and its well within the ranges of what I would expect from store bought distilled water. My hydroponic spice grows love the distilled water, no more algae or mold.
