Q: Do they come already arranged in the vase

In my experience they come tied together pre-arranged. However, they are not in the vase. You cut off an inch from the bottom of each flower, put the plant food in the vase with water and then place the flowers in the vase. We have been very fortunate with flowers from Amazon. They have always arrived fresh and lasted for at least a full week. I imagine those with negative experiences had shipping vendor issues.

Q: Anyone have an idea why it cost $10 more to buy them without a vase? it appears you get 18 stems either way. i have so many vases!!!!

I think you are reading it wrong. It plainly states that for around 34 bucks you can get them WITHOUT vase

Q: Is there any recourse if the flowers were a gift and never opened.....died on stem? I was so disappointed?

I told my granddaughte who purchased the flowers as a valentines gift that three roses were off the stems and I did comment on this but have not heard from Amazon. I would let the people who sent the gift know not to pay for the dead flowers.

Q: Approximately how many roses are in this arrangement?

I really don't know as I had sent it to my mom and didn't see the arrangement. I think it said there were to be 12 roses.
