Very pretty Meline, beautiful quality as usual from RH, but... I really miss the articulation, esp the arms.

The media could not be loaded. Lovely doll, my little girl is very happy with her, and especially loves her long hair!She was awkward getting out of the packaging, but they always are!You get the doll, a comb, 5 hair accessories, and then the hair chalks. The chalks come packaged separately, so to use them you have to remove the top of each wand, slide the chalk inside, and then replace the top. The chalk doesn't apply very easily, I have to say. My little girl had to rub it back and forth quite a while to get some colour on, and I had to help her hold the doll in place, as a stand isn't included, which I thought was a shame. (see my video)Personally, we won't bother using the chalks again, they're a bit of a faff and just not that good. The quality of the doll is great though, her outfit is bright and detailed, and her face is beautiful, as you expect with a Rainbow High doll. It's a bit of a hit and a miss, overall..

This is a really good action figure doll (not really sure what the non Barbie name is!) and she has beautiful long hair that can be styled in a variety of ways. She’s poseable and moves around but you do have to sit her down if you want her to balance alone, she’s a bit too top heavy to stand up alone.Unfortunately too the main accessory for the set, being the hair chalk, isn’t great. Even if you’re scrubbing the hair like you’re rubbing it on like soap, it still doesn’t give a very good colour. We got better results with our own “people” hair chalk we have in our fancy dress kit, but unfortunately that hasn’t washed out well. Her hair is still a little stained using the stronger chalks. So I suppose you either settle with the weaker colours but they wash out, or use stronger ones and allow for the stains.

My daughter likes the doll and enjoyed playing with the chalks etc but I don't think its very good value.Other rainbow dolls you get lots of accessories but with this its only really the hair chalk and it doesn't work very well. It's fidlly to apply and takes lots of applications to begin to show, and then starts to get clumpy very quickly.My daughter didn't really mind too much but I wasn't that impressed and I wouldn't be happy if I had to pay full price for it. If it's on offer then it may be worth a go but otherwise I'd give it a miss.

The doll is beautiful but the hair chalks don't work at all - on either the doll's hair or human hair. My kids have tried so many times and I've even tried but you have to press so hard to even get a tiny bit of colour on the doll's hair, which just ends up pulling out strands of the doll's hair. No idea how you could get the hair to be rainbow with those chalks - the picture is a bit misleading.Still a lovely doll but I'd ignore the hair chalks (you could try other hair chalks on it I guess) as they really don't work.

Rainbow high dolls are so pretty and very collectible.My granddaughter adores them and especially Meline who this time has moved away a little from her trademark gold and has lots of rainbow glitz.The set arrives with 5 chalks, combs, and 5 hair accessories, which can be used on the doll and on my granddaughter’s hair.They need to be applied firmly to get the colour to transfer properly, but even then they are much lighter than the pictures, but they do wash out easily.Meline has lovely clothing and shoes and stunning makeup, but I notice her ears are pierced yet there’s no earrings in this set.I’m also a little disappointed with her lack of articulation and since the rebrand I’ve not been so enamoured with the build.However Meline has her original head sculpt, nice soft straight hair, and some baby hair printed on.Overall I love the head, the clothes are nice, I think the chalks are finicky and gimmicky and they don’t transfer well, and I wish the body was articulated.Price wise I think they’re ok, but for a bit more you can get an RH articulated doll.I hope you find my review helpful.
