Definitely get this. Knight Rider was a classic show growing up, such a cool collectible.

Even though I read the thing, it was real small even though I read it was only 5 inches didn’t register on my mind, but it looks very nice for a collectors item to not be real big and take up a lot of space.

My nephew is 41 and when he was a little boy Knight Rider was his favorits show. Not long before Christmas he and I were reminiscing about watching the shows together and I got the idea to look for the car. This is the perfect size and it is a nice piece. He displays it on his desk.

It is a *1/36* scale toy car that represents the K.I.T.T.’s overall shape and dashboard quite nicely, but as many other reviewers have pointed out the lack of side mirrors and the wrong interior color is hard to ignore. If you build and paint model kits you can paint and detail up interior to bring it closer to the real car, but making a side mirror would be bigger challenger unless you are a seasoned model builder and/or have access to 3D modeling and printing ability. I only painted the mismatching color and that alone made it look more pleasing. The back seat also has a big bulk protruding which is obviously there to house a rollback mechanism but it is empty. Also this is not a 1/32th scale as advertised, but 1/36 when I measured the toy against the spec of the real Trans Am car. No wonder other reviewers found this to be small but I had no other 1/32 toy car to compare.I would still recommend it to any KITT fan unless you want it to be part of a 1/32 car collection, but you may want to check your local Target store before getting it online. I found KITT’s rival KARR (same scale and make) selling for $7 along with many other Jada 1/32 movie cars at the same price. My Target store didn’t have KITT but yours may, so if you’re lucky you can pick this up for $7+tax which would make the aforementioned shortcomings a lot more forgivable. But there's a good chance that this Amazon deal may be the next best deal. (Disclaimer - the middle two photos show the car after my paint work for interior color and dashboard details.
