Wow, this little gadget works so well! I was skeptical as it seemed too gimmicky to be true, knowing how fragile eggs are (and even more so the yolks), but I have been astounded at how easily and well this thing works. Prior to getting this, I was a disaster at cracking raw eggs without breaking the yolk, probably having only a 50% success rate. I've now opened over a dozen eggs with this tool, and every time the yolk has poured out perfectly intact into the frying pan, ever since my first try. You may need to pull the striker 2 or 3 times to get it to form a cap that is fully separated and can easily be removed from the rest of the shell, but it's easy to feel when the tool has done its job as it will sink ever so slightly into the rest of the shell at that point. Key thing is to hold the tool in exactly the same place on the egg, between successive striker pulls. And it stays clean, no need to wash it after use. I actually enjoy using this little device and couldn't recommend it more highly!

It was easy to use, even my husband who told me it would never work, admitted he was wrong. I've been laughing at him ever since. It is easy to use, does a good job too. I have had trouble in the past when using the edge of something to crack them. Most of the time, I got bits of shell in my egg. And, once I even lost the whole egg down the sink. This gadget prevents that entirely.

Not perfect but gets the job done. It takes several hits to crack my eggs. The crack is definitely neater than hitting it with a spoon.

Just love it! No more egg shells in the bowl or pan. No more raw egg on my fingers. It's not bulky and it's very easy for storage. My family is so excited for me to make whole deviled eggs so I'm going to make some today.My only regret is not buying it sooner.

It works okay, but it takes about 5 - 6 taps before the shell cracks and the crack is still a bit jagged, but a clean crack.

Was very sceptical ! But after using using this, I love it. Use it all the time! Great item to have I. The kitchen !!!! You gotta get it!!!

The best of the bunch. I have ordered three other eggshell crackers and this is the only one that works on all eggs with no issues. The others only work on small eggs or deposit small pieces of shell. This item cuts a circle in the top of the egg, with no shell pieces or broken eggs.

I used this egg cracker to take the top off my soft boiled eggs. I make my eggs by poking through the shell with a tack before boiling so I'm not sure if this is why I was easily able to peel my egg, but this certainly helped.It's easy, functional and cleaner than taking a knife to a soft boiled egg. For the price it's a good value and an easy to store little tool.
